Djokovic before facing Dimitrov and Del Potro in exhibition: It's mainly for these guys that I'm going to play

While the number of ATP tournaments Novak Djokovic will play this season remains unclear, the Serb has already announced that he will play two exhibition matches, one in Bulgaria against Grigor Dimitrov (September 17) and the other in Argentina against Juan Martin Del Potro (December 1).

When asked why he agreed to play these matches, 'Nole' paid tribute to the two men: "Did I agree to play for these players or to visit cities where I've never played before?

It's mainly for these guys that I'm going to play. Grigor came to Serbia to play the Adria Tour exhibition a few years ago.

We said I'd come and play in Bulgaria. The time has come and, to be honest, I'm delighted, especially when it's for a good cause.

I've never played in Bulgaria, a country with which we're culturally close.

Besides, Del Potro is retiring from tennis with this exhibition match. We all know the impact he has had on tennis.

He's been one of the most exciting players of the last two decades. He has charisma, character and he's adorable.

We've seen so much support for him around the world and especially in his country, Argentina.

Participating in this farewell match will be a phenomenal and unforgettable experience."
