Williams Sisters Learn First Doubles Opponents at Wimbledon: Historic Return for Six-Time Champions
Seven-Time Wimbledon Doubles Champions Serena and Venus Williams Return to All England Club—Here Are Their First Opponents
After discovering her singles draw, Serena Williams now also knows her first doubles challenge at Wimbledon.
Playing alongside her sister Venus, the American has learned the identity of the pair they will face in their grand return to the discipline at the All England Club.
A First Round Within Reach
South Americans Solana Sierra and Camila Osorio will be the first to stand in the way of the Williams sisters in this 2026 edition.
If victorious, Serena and Venus could then face ninth seeds Ellen Perez and Demi Schuurs.
They also fall in the same half of the draw as Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Erin Routliffe, a pair Serena Williams already defeated alongside Victoria Mboko at the Queen's tournament.
For the record, the Williams sisters have won the Wimbledon doubles title six times (2000, 2002, 2008, 2009, 2012, and 2016). A seventh title would make them the most successful pair in the history of the tournament in the discipline.
