Winning mentally, Alcaraz praises Tiafoe:

Winning mentally, Alcaraz praises Tiafoe: "He's a very talented player".

Carlos Alcaraz had a tough time of it on Friday. Up against the great Frances Tiafoe, the Spaniard struggled. After a long struggle, he finally came through in almost 4 hours (5-7, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6, 6-2).

After this magnificent victory, Alcaraz paid tribute to his victim of the day:

"Obviously, it's a great challenge to play Frances (Tiafoe). As I've said many times before, he's a very talented player. It's difficult to face him. He's shown once again that he deserves to be at the top of the game.

It was really difficult for me to adapt my game, find solutions and try to put him in difficulty. I'm glad I did it at the end of the match."

I've never been a fan of Coco as I don't like her attitude on court.

I don't like that he abuses women. I hope he never wins a slam. There are no excuses. He is not a 'nice' guy. He's an arrogant arse.

Ridiculous how Coco was so dependent on her 'box'. I think this coaching during the match is a distraction to many players. It has changed the game. And not in a good way.
