Not attacking 2nd serves, not moving her opponent enough, not playing smart cost Simo the set. Too much defense not enough offense.

I'm trying to be as objective as I can...here we go... both in good form, both had fairly tough competitors, give the edge to Muguruza on this one for taking Eli and Kiki out, H2H Mugu is 2-0 on hard last one was a beat down in the final at Cinci, Simona's edge...she has improved her game against hard aggressive hitters like Mugu and Serena. Since her loss in 2017 to Mugu, Simona won 2 Grand Slams and her grand slam mental presence and determination has drastically improved. To have a chance at winning this, Simona has to serve just as well as she has so far this tournament and keep Mugu in long rallies. Muguruza's back hand is the most dangerous in the tournament so far and Simona can also match that. When in great shape I give Muguruza the advantage, however, I will never forget the last match Simona played against Garbine at the French Open on her way to win it all that year. I hope to see an entertaining 3 setter, with lots of screaming,unfortunately, on both sides and tons of great spectacular shots. May the best player win today! I, of course am rooting for my fellow Romanian fireball!!!
