He doesn't need to come back. He could have retired in Australia earlier this year. He cannot chase the big 3 anymore in terms of GS titles. He has a family to commit to, money to do pretty much anything he wants for the rest of his life. Yet he still makes the tough decision to undergo such a big and risky surgery in order to be capable to play professional tennis again. That's called pure love for the game. You have my utter respect Andy and I wish you to be one of the men to beat on the ATP tour again. Welcome back!

As for fear creeping in after the second set...it was more like false hope from djoke fans. Dashed rather quickly so they had to resort back to the "tired exhausted excuses". Maybe djoke shouldn't have wasted all that energy celebrating before the match was over.
