Alcaraz to Defend His Throne on Queen's Grass in 2026, Anisimova Also Returning
The 2026 edition of Queen's is already shaping up to be a royal affair: Carlos Alcaraz, the two-time defending champion, will put his crown on the line in London, while Amanda Anisimova will seek revenge for her final loss this year.
The 2025 season is drawing to a close for all players, but some are already outlining the main goals for their next campaign.
This is the case for Carlos Alcaraz and Amanda Anisimova, who have both confirmed their participation in the Queen's tournament. The women's event will take place from June 8 to 14 and will be followed by the men's tournament.
Alcaraz, a two-time winner on the London grass, will return to defend his title.
"Queen's is a very special tournament for me and I look forward to playing there every year. This season, it was incredible to come back and win that second title in front of a fantastic crowd.
Returning as the defending champion will be a challenge, but I am excited to be there and fight to lift the trophy once again," the Spaniard told the tournament's website.
Anisimova, for her part, had reached the final, where she was defeated by the surprise package Tatjana Maria.
