Alcaraz selected for the Davis Cup finals

The Spanish prodigy is officially selected for the Davis Cup Final 8 in Bologna. The team led by David Ferrer will face Germany's Alexander Zverev.

It's official: Carlos Alcaraz will represent Spain in the Davis Cup Final 8, which will be held from November 18 to 23 in Bologna. An announcement that revives the team's hopes, absent from the title since 2019?

Indeed, at 22 years old, the 2025 US Open winner wants to leave his mark on his nation's history: "I want to win everything with my country, not just individually," he said at the time.

Because, since their last triumph in 2019, the Spanish team has often disappointed in the Davis Cup. Moreover, the absence of Rafael Nadal, retired since 2024, leaves a huge void.

Finally, alongside Alcaraz, the Spanish selection could rely on names like Jaume Munar, Pedro Martinez, and Marcel Granollers.
