Sinner, Major Absence in Paris? World No. 2 Might Skip Paris Tournament Before ATP Finals

One year after leaving Paris-Bercy due to illness, Jannik Sinner could once again miss the final Masters 1000 tournament of the season. According to journalist Simone Eterno, the Italian is considering skipping the Rolex Paris Masters to focus on the ATP Finals.

Sinner Withdraws from Paris for the Second Consecutive Year? Last year, the Italian had arrived at the Bercy venue before being bedridden by a virus. This year, the world No. 2 might simply skip the tournament, which is now held at La Défense Arena.

This is what journalist Simone Eterno revealed in his latest podcast, stating that the Italian, who is scheduled to play at the ATP 500 in Vienna the week before Paris, has decided not to travel to the French capital.

Sinner would return to competition at the ATP Finals (November 9-16), where he is the defending champion, before also withdrawing from the Davis Cup Finals (November 18-23).

This information has not been confirmed by the player himself, who is traveling to Riyadh this week to compete in the Six Kings Slam.
