End of the Road for Rakotomanga in Rouen, Eliminated by Lamens in Quarterfinals
Tiantsoa Sarah Rakotomanga's impressive run in Normandy came to an end this Friday, as she was defeated in the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 in Rouen by Suzan Lamens (6-3, 6-3).
The French player, who had won four consecutive matches (including qualifying rounds) without dropping a single set, couldn't keep up with her opponent this time, losing her serve seven times during the match.
After a week that saw her secure her very first WTA Tour victory and reach her first quarterfinal, Rakotomanga will enter the Top 250 on Monday, currently sitting at a live ranking of 245th in the world.
Lamens will face Olga Danilovic tomorrow for a spot in the tournament's final.
