"I couldn't find any solutions," regrets Alcaraz after his defeat against Sinner at the Six Kings Slam

I couldn't find any solutions, regrets Alcaraz after his defeat against Sinner at the Six Kings Slam

Carlos Alcaraz fell in the final of the Six Kings Slam exhibition in Riyadh against his rival Jannik Sinner.

Alcaraz couldn't win the Six Kings Slam. For the second consecutive year, the Spaniard thus fell in the final against Jannik Sinner. After his defeat, the world number 1 highlighted the Italian's excellent performance, particularly on serve.

"When Jannik (Sinner) plays at this level, it's always difficult. Today, he was too strong for me. Everyone was able to enjoy his tennis. He's evolved to a very high level.

He played a great match, he didn't let me find my rhythm in this encounter. He says he's improved on serve and I could see that. I didn't have a single break point and that's something I'm not used to.

When he serves really well, it's very complicated to face him. I couldn't find any solutions. It puts a bit more pressure on you, especially against a great returner. Sometimes, it feels like he's playing ping-pong.

It's not very fun to be on the other side of the net under these conditions. I always say that when he plays at such a high level, it gives me motivation to go on court to train and give 100%, he motivates me to be better. It's like a puzzle, sometimes it's not pleasant, but it gives that extra motivation.

There are still several indoor tournaments to play, I'll have to try to adapt to the conditions and the courts. I don't have the best record on this surface, but I'll do everything to improve it. I'm the world number 1, I'll give my best," Alcaraz thus assured in recent hours for Punto de Break.
