There is only one Carlos," Alcaraz's brother's coach refuses comparisons with his older sibling

While Carlos Alcaraz is currently at the top of world tennis, he also has a brother, Jaime, aged 14, who is very accomplished for his age.
He was part of the Spanish team at the European Championships and won the title. However, his coach, Ramon Abenza Sanchez, refuses comparisons with Carlos.
In statements gathered by Tennis World USA, he explains: "He is an ambitious boy and we will talk about him. Jaime is progressing very well and moving at his own pace.
There is only one Carlos, and we must admire him, but we must avoid comparisons, because each person must follow their own path and enjoy tennis.
The Alcaraz phenomenon has been very beneficial for us in Spain, where Rafa Nadal dominated for many years, and even more so in Murcia. Foreign players come here, which raises the level.
We have known Carlitos since his childhood, and he is a role model, as is his work method. The joy and intensity with which he trains, immediately noticeable, also helps us coaches do our job.
When Alcaraz made his debut on the international stage in 2022, he was immediately constantly compared to Rafael Nadal.
The latter did not appreciate it, repeatedly urging the public to stop these comparisons, fearing it would put enormous pressure on the rising star and negatively impact his career.
