A year of dominance: Aryna Sabalenka celebrates her 12 months as world No. 1.
October 21, 2024. A date now etched in her career. On that day, Aryna Sabalenka reclaimed the top spot in the WTA rankings after winning three titles (Cincinnati, US Open, Wuhan) and reaching a quarterfinal (Beijing). Since then, the Belarusian has never left her throne, keeping all her rivals at bay.
Now, Sabalenka enters her 62nd consecutive week at the top of the world rankings, a significant number that showcases her consistency. And her next goal? To match Simona Halep's 64 weeks as world No. 1.
"Being world No. 1 isn't just a ranking. It's a mindset. I feel stronger than ever, ready to go even higher," she recently stated.
