Carlos Alcaraz showed no fear on Sunday.

Faced with the astonishing Yibing Wu (ranked 560th), the El Palmar native had more trouble than expected, but came out on top (7-6, 6-3).

The Spaniard, who found himself on the back foot at the start of the match, gradually raised his game before unravelling to qualify.

A tough opponent, he will meet the winner of the match between Humbert and Monfils for a place in the quarters.
