De Minaur: "For me, it's easier to play against Carlos Alcaraz than against Jannik Sinner".

De Minaur: For me, it's easier to play against Carlos Alcaraz than against Jannik Sinner.

Alex de Minaur lost the Rotterdam final to Carlos Alcaraz in three sets on Sunday.

Despite the defeat, he put in a much better performance than in his Australian Open quarter-final against Jannik Sinner.

The Australian compared the two players, declaring that Alcaraz suits him better in terms of his game: "Playing Carlos is definitely better for me.

I can rush him and make his game more difficult with my tennis. I never managed to do that against Sinner. In tennis, it's all about comparison.

That doesn't mean that if one player is ranked higher than another, the player with the higher ranking will always win.

There are different styles of play.

In the match against Alcaraz, I was close to winning, and next time I'll manage it."

He probably gets bored watching Sinner?

It's about match ups for sure. He's been losing to Sinner since juniors which has head games with it.
