Alcaraz savours Rotterdam title: "I've shown that I can play well on this type of surface".

Carlos Alcaraz won the first indoor title of his career in Rotterdam on Sunday, beating Alex De Minaur in the final.
It was a long-awaited first indoor title for the world No.3, who expressed his satisfaction at finally achieving it in a press conference:
"It's a special title, because it's my first indoor one, and I've shown that I can play well on this type of surface.
I stayed focused throughout the match. Even though I lost the second set, I was solid in the third. I felt a bit of pressure, but I managed it well.
I'm happy, because I knew I had the level to play well in these conditions. Some players play better tennis indoors.
I managed to win against players like that this week and that gives me a lot of confidence. My best level will come on this surface, and I need to work on improving what I've learned in training."
