Jabeur beats Kenin to reach Doha quarter-finals

Ons Jabeur was imperious against Sofia Kenin (6-3, 6-4) in the last 16 of the WTA 1000 in Doha.
After eliminating Kessler and Zheng in straight sets in her first two rounds, the Tunisian once again held her nerve against Kenin, who had come through a tough battle with Alycia Parks yesterday.
With 81% of points won behind her first serve, Jabeur needed just one break in the first set to make the difference.
Kenin offered a little more resistance in the second set, but the world No. 35 remained solid to close out the match and reach the quarter-finals of the competition for the third time in her career.
Jabeur will now face Jelena Ostapenko for a place in the semi-finals.
