WTA Linz: Muchova and Svitolina headline the draw
Less than 24 hours after the end of the Australian Open, tennis is back in full swing in Europe, with the WTA 500 Linz tournament kicking off on Monday.
Taking place just after the first Grand Slam of the season, the Austrian tournament will feature Karolina Muchova, ranked 20th in the world, and Elina Svitolina, a quarter-finalist in Melbourne.
They benefit from a bye and will enter the draw in the 2nd round.
Among the other players present, Maria Sakkari, seeded n°3, will kick off her week against Viktoriya Tomova or Jessica Bouzas Maneiro.
Ekaterina Alexandrova, a finalist at last year's tournament, is seeded n°4 and will face a qualifier.
Last but not least, Anastasia Potapova (winner of the event in 2023), Dayana Yastremska and Eva Lys, who reached the last 16 at the Australian Open, will also be taking part.
