De Minaur on Sinner: "He beat everyone".
De Minaur was without a solution against Jannik Sinner, losing 6-3, 6-2, 6-1, in the quarter-finals of the Australian Open.
After the match, he had this to say about his opponent: "He's built up this aura by beating everyone. That's the problem, isn't it?
It's not as if he's had a good week here or there. He's beaten everyone.
I think the best way to describe it is the fact that he was able, I don't know if it was last year or two years ago, to play Novak here and play pretty impeccably, and, again, not give him too many games.
Novak is probably the best player to ever play here in Melbourne. The fact that he's at the top level and can do that to the players, that's very strong.
You go into the match and you know it's going to be a battle, that it's going to be tough, that you're going to try different things.
But after an hour and a half of play, you're struggling to win even a few games and you're trying to find ways to get back into the game. It's pretty surreal."
