Sinner discusses his great rivalry with Alcaraz after the Six Kings Slam final

Jannik Sinner has won the Six Kings Slam exhibition for the second consecutive year.

Sinner shone once again in Riyadh. During the second edition of the Six Kings Slam, the world number 2 defended his title won last year against his rival Carlos Alcaraz (6-2, 6-4).

After his victories against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals and Novak Djokovic in the semifinals, the Italian did not lose a single set in three matches, and logically won the $6 million check promised to the winner of this exhibition. In a press conference, Sinner discussed his rivalry with Alcaraz.

"When I'm training, I think a lot about how I need to improve to prepare for the next match against Carlos (Alcaraz). That's why we need Carlos and other players to keep improving, because we all watch other players to progress.

For me, it's about Carlos, especially in a season where we played a bunch of matches against each other. I lost to him many times, but it's an honor and a pleasure to share the court with him.

At the same time, I need to improve as a player, and for that, you need rivalries, but, more importantly, a good friendship off the court. With Carlos, we share a very special friendship.

I've experienced painful defeats, but also very good victories; it's a great rivalry. Having the opportunity to show such a level of tennis makes me really happy.

This year, it will be impossible for me to reclaim the world number one spot. I love playing indoor matches, and the end of the season is always exciting with tournaments in Italy," Sinner stated after triumphing at the Six Kings Slam for Punto de Break.
