It will be interesting to see how Novak approaches the 2026 season, Henman says about Djokovic

Defeated in the semifinals of the Six Kings Slam, Novak Djokovic is uncertain for the ATP Finals.

The 38-year-old player, who still has the goal of winning a Grand Slam title before retiring, confirmed that he does not plan to retire in the near future. Tim Henman, former professional player, discussed the Serbian legend's season and spoke about his future.

"This season, he reached the semifinals of all four Grand Slam tournaments, which is a real achievement. But the problem is the path taken to reach the final four.

You have to win five matches, and once you're in the semifinals, you have to play against one of those young players who are at the peak of their physical form. Of course, Novak (Djokovic) wasn't able to find the solutions he needed to compete.

What I always say, especially when talking about these great players, is that they should play as long as they want. They've earned the right to play the tournaments they want to compete in and to be on the tour for as many seasons as they desire.

If players are still enjoying themselves, they should continue. It's the best job in the world, ending your career means being retired for a very long time. So it will be interesting to see how Novak approaches the 2026 season, how he defines his schedule, and what his level of play will be," Henman told Tennis365.
