100% American final Tiafoe vs Shelton on the ochre of Houston!

This Sunday, the final of the ATP 250 in Houston will pit Ben Shelton against Frances Tiafoe. In the semi-finals, Shelton, seeded n°1 for this 2024 edition, first emerged victorious from a two-and-a-half-hour battle with Argentina's Tomas Martin Etcheverry (6-7, 6-4, 6-4). This will be his first ever clay-court final.

In the 2nd semi-final, Tiafoe, the defending champion and No.3 seed in the draw, proved his mettle against Italy's Luciano Darderi. He will now have the opportunity to put a positive spin on his completely unsuccessful start to the season so far.
