200,000 Tickets Sold: Paris Masters 1000 Sets New Ticketing Record
For the first edition of the Rolex Paris Masters at La Défense Arena, the organization has set a new record for tickets sold in a single tournament.
After several decades of good and loyal service at Bercy, the Paris Masters 1000 has moved to La Défense Arena. For the occasion, four courts are available in the Parisian complex, compared to only two in the old venue.
The Center Court now has a capacity of 17,500 seats for the tennis tournament, which is about 3,500 more seats than at Bercy. Consequently, in its first year at the tournament's new home, the Rolex Paris Masters logically broke a new record for tickets sold for a single edition.
While 176,000 tickets were sold last year, this figure has now been surpassed again, with over 200,000 tickets finding buyers. According to information from L'Équipe, the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday sessions are already sold out.
