A controlled final and a 21st title: Sinner easily dominates Tien in Beijing

Jannik Sinner and Learner Tien were the two contenders for the title at the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing. Both players had a perfect run to the final and wanted to finish on a high note before continuing with the Shanghai Masters 1000.
The world number 2 was naturally the favorite against the 19-year-old American player who was competing in his very first final on the main tour. And for his baptism by fire, Tien experienced what the very highest level feels like.
Because Sinner, on the other side, proved unflappable and ruthless in a one-sided final. With 22 winners against just 9 unforced errors, Sinner, who had already defeated Cilic, Atmane, Marozsan, and De Minaur in this tournament, confirmed his form to win in two quick sets (6-2, 6-2 in 1 hour and 12 minutes).
On the other side, Tien performed admirably in the tournament, quite the opposite. After his victories against Cerundolo, Cobolli, Musetti, and Medvedev, the finalist of the last Next Gen ATP Finals will break into the top 40 as he heads into the Shanghai tournament.
He will face Miomir Kecmanovic in his opening match and could meet Corentin Moutet in the next round.
As for Sinner, he wins his 2nd title in the Chinese capital after 2023 and will approach the Shanghai Masters 1000 as the defending champion but with a great deal of confidence.
For his opening match in the tournament, the player who just claimed the 21st title of his career on the main tour will face either Tristan Schoolkate or Daniel Altmaier. After his triumphs at the Australian Open and Wimbledon, the Italian wins his third tournament in 2025.
