Alcaraz on life in the Olympic Village: "This isn't just any tournament".
There's one main element that sets Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic apart at these Olympic Games: where they live.
While the Spaniard resides in the Olympic Village alongside all the other competing athletes, Nole has decided to shun tradition, preferring to stay on the sidelines in his hotel.
Asked about his preparations for the Games, the 21-year-old champion spoke of the special conditions involved in living in the Olympic Village: "It's different... let's put it that way.
It's not a tournament like any other, it's lived in a different but exciting way.
To be able to share moments with other athletes and feel a mutual respect.
That makes it special. But it's obvious that rest, food, it comes late... It's not easy."
