By winning his match against Fritz (6-3, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4), Djokovic qualified for the semifinals of a Grand Slam for the fourth time this season. A record for a player of his age.

Indeed, at 38 years old, the Serbian has achieved a feat that no one has ever accomplished in the history of tennis. A statistic revealed by Jeu, Set et Maths.

Since turning 34, Djokovic has reached the semifinals of all Grand Slams in a single season three times (2021, age 34), (2023, age 36), (2025, age 38).

This season, after stumbling against Zverev in Australia, he was then eliminated by world number one Sinner in Paris and then at Wimbledon.

Still in pursuit of a 25th Grand Slam, he will have to overcome the mountain that is Alcaraz and then potentially Sinner to reach the Grail once again. If such a performance were to occur, there is no doubt it would be inscribed at the very top of the tennis pantheon.
