ATP to Inject $32.4 Million to Support Secondary Tour in 2026

In 2026, the ATP will inject $32.4 million into secondary tournaments, a record increase aimed at helping struggling players.

The announcement was made on Friday. With an overall budget raised to $32.4 million, the ATP Challenger Tour is set to undergo an unprecedented transformation. This is $5 million more than in 2025.

This decision is part of the OneVision strategy, championed by Chairman Andrea Gaudenzi, who aims to "rebalance revenues, support the sport's foundation, and secure the future of professional players."

The other major announcement: 50 new Challenger tournaments will be created in 2026. The schedule will thus expand to 265 competitions, compared to 216 this season.

The ATP seeks to offset the gradual disappearance of ATP 250 tournaments while enhancing the competitiveness and visibility of the intermediate tour.
