Australian tennis legend Neale Fraser dies aged 91

Australian tennis mourns the loss of one of its legends, Neale Fraser. A professional between 1954 and 1977, he was world amateur No.1 in 1959 and 1960.

The Australian won 3 Grand Slam singles titles, including a memorable Wimbledon final against Rod Laver.

He also won 11 doubles titles and 5 mixed doubles titles. He won the Davis Cup four times in succession, between 1959 and 1962.

Fraser also captained the competition for 23 years, between 1970 and 1993. As captain, he won it 4 times, with 55 victories from 75 matches played.

He often said, "I could never imagine anything better than representing my country."
