In a video posted on his Instagram account, Arthur Fils appears in the middle of a training session. Focused, he is seen executing forehands, backhands, and lateral movements.

And in the caption, just four words, but four words that resonate like a glimmer of hope for French fans:

"Back in training."

A start to 2025 that promised the best

To recall, before his back injury, Fils was experiencing his greatest rise: world number 14, his best ranking thanks in particular to three consecutive quarter-finals in the first Masters 1000 events of the year.

Then everything collapsed: his back gave out

However, at the end of the clay court tour, everything changed.

The five-set match against Jaume Munar at Roland-Garros will remain as one of the finest battles of his young career but also as the breaking point.

Withdrawing before facing Andrey Rublev, then unable to regain a competitive rhythm on the North American tour, Fils had to make a difficult decision: end his 2025 season.

A calibrated return for 2026

Since then, his team has committed to a clear strategy: no rush, a return only when he is at 100%.

But everyone hopes for the same thing: that Arthur Fils' future confirms what his talent has been shouting for the past two years.
