The ATP 500 in Barcelona, which will take place from April 10 to 18, 2026, is set to undergo a notable evolution in its organization. According to information from journalist Bruno Ballesté, the Catalan tournament will introduce for the first time in its history a night session.
This novelty will initially be tested in a limited manner: only one evening, scheduled for Thursday, during the round of 16. The stated goal is to modernize the spectator experience, meet the growing demand for evening matches, which are very popular at other major tournaments, and offer increased media exposure to the day's most attractive matchups.
