En perdition depuis le début de saison, l'Italien vient de s'offrir une énorme bouffée d'oxygène en se défaisant de son compatriote Sonego pour rejoindre De Minaur au 2e tour. L'ex n°6 mondial avait atteint la finale en 2021.
