Borg breaks the silence: "Yes, some from my generation were doping"

The Swede, a tennis icon, has stepped out of his reserve to talk about doping. Between troubling memories from his era and his surprised view on the Sinner affair, Borg sends a strong message: keeping tennis clean is more crucial than ever.
Björn Borg has been opening up more and more in the media lately, especially since the announcement of his prostate cancer remission.
The Swedish champion, interviewed by the BBC, spoke about the presence of doping during his generation and the case involving Jannik Sinner, which concluded with a three-month suspension of the world No. 2:
"When we were playing, I know that some players from my generation used banned substances. I'm not going to name names, it doesn't matter. But today, I think it's a good thing that they test themselves and I understand that they have to do it many times.
I think it's good for keeping the sport clean. [...] I was very surprised when I learned about it (Sinner's positive doping tests). It seems to me that it happened twice. So it's very strange. What happened, I don't know. But I hope it wasn't anything serious."
Sinner. Nadal.
Why else would Rafael defend jannik, but attack Novak for not taking a vaccine!
