Novak Djokovic, 38 years old, continues his legendary career by establishing himself as the third force on the circuit behind Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.

A semi-finalist in each of the Grand Slam tournaments this year, the Serbian is still in pursuit of the biggest titles, although he is aware of the difficulty of overcoming the new Big 2, especially in best-of-five-set matches.

After meeting him in Bologna this week, Boris Becker defended Djokovic, stating that we must stop questioning him about his future retirement.

"His presence is fundamental for current tennis. He is a role model, he shows the youth the necessary path to reach the top and stay there.

He is still chasing his 25th Grand Slam, he reached the semi-finals of all four Majors this year and won two titles. Who are we to tell Novak that he should stop?

I recently heard that he wants to play in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. We need to leave him alone. We need him. Anyone who has played against Novak Djokovic over the past 20 years has lost a lot of money. So I would never bet against Novak.", declared the German champion to the Guardian.
