Christopher Eubanks chose Instagram to announce his retirement, delivering a vibrant tribute to the "little boy from Atlanta" he once was. Between an unexpected quarter-final at Wimbledon, a title in Mallorca, and a career built against all odds, his farewell resonates as a tale of strong emotions.

At just 29 years old, Christopher Eubanks is already hanging up his rackets. The American, who has fallen back to 266th in the world rankings, announced this Monday that he is ending his professional career on his Instagram account:

"If you had told that little boy from the south side of Atlanta that he would accomplish everything he has done, he would never have believed you. Two-time Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Player of the Year? Of course not. Wimbledon quarter-finalist? Impossible. Olympian? Unimaginable.

I've been fortunate to travel the world and build incredible relationships while living my lifelong dream: playing professional tennis. I don't have the words to express how blessed I've been. Hard to say for sure, but if this is it, yippee! It's been an incredible adventure."

Turning professional in 2017, Eubanks reached a career-high world No. 29 ranking in July 2023, right after his surprise quarter-final run at Wimbledon. This stands as his best Grand Slam result, as he never progressed past the second round in the three other major tournaments.

The Atlanta native claimed his sole ATP Tour title in Mallorca that same year, defeating Adrian Mannarino in the final. He also won five Challenger titles.

Since 2023, Eubanks has been making regular television appearances as an analyst for Tennis Channel as well as ESPN.

TT- Your pop up ads almost make the app unusable.

FYI- Ive never bought a single item from any of them after years of using your app, a goal that started as short term but has developed into long term.

Hello I'm new

I am surprised about relatively low attendance at Roland Garros which was the most popular slam 20+ years ago. I myself love it as well as really loving aus and us opens. I don't care about Wimbledon, sometimes maybe I can watch women's tennis. I hate Wimbledon's white dress code, I feel like I am watching junior tennis...I watched very few matches like Graf davenport final in 1999 the last time.....
