Alcaraz makes it through to the quarter-finals in Doha despite a setback

Carlos Alcaraz got himself into trouble on Wednesday in Doha, winning in three sets against Luca Nardi (6-1, 4-6, 6-3) after leading 6-1, 4-1 after less than an hour's play.

The Spaniard, who had been unrolling on center court, began to accumulate errors in his game, allowing his opponent, who wasn't asking for much, to get back into the match.

Despite the surprising loss of the second set, the world No.3 quickly pulled himself together and managed to maintain his break advantage to conclude the match serenely.

Alcaraz, seeded No.1 at the event, continues to hold his own, but faces a much tougher challenge in the quarter-finals, where he will be up against Jiri Lehecka, ranked 25th in the world.
