Alcaraz falls to Lehecka in Doha

Too inconsistent in his tennis, Carlos Alcaraz fell to Jiri Lehecka in the quarter-finals of the Doha tournament (6-3, 3-6, 6-4).
The Spaniard, who had lost the first set after four straight games from 2-1 to 2-5, seemed to have victory within his grasp when he led 4-2 in the third set, with a double break point at 40-30.
But this was without counting on another lapse in concentration by the world no.3, who let Lehecka back into the match, before losing his last service game and conceding a defeat that had seemed unimaginable just a few minutes earlier.
The Czech, ranked 25th in the world, scored the greatest victory of his career and continues his progress in Doha.
In the semi-finals, he will face the winner of the match between Matteo Berrettini and Jack Draper.
Alcaraz now turns his attention to the American tour, where he will have to work on his consistency to avoid similar defeats this season.
