Davis Cup: Fils dominates Seyboth Wild to give France a 2-0 lead over Brazil
Arthur Fils earned the second point of the weekend for the French team, beating Thiago Seyboth Wild (6-1, 6-4) in an hour's play.
Faced with a player far from being a specialist in indoor conditions, Fils dominated the match, winning the first set very quickly after 23 minutes of play.
Debates were a little more balanced in the second set, with the French No.2 having to save a break point at 3-3 on his serve.
But it was at 4-4 that Fils managed to make the break (despite an error by the chair umpire) and go on to close out the match.
The end of the match was stormy, with the two men having a tense discussion at the net, which continued as Seyboth Wild left the court (see video below).
At the end of this first day, France leads 2-0 ahead of tomorrow's doubles, which could guarantee Les Bleus qualification for the 2nd round.
