Davis Cup: France knows its opponent for the 2026 qualifiers

Eliminated from the 2025 Davis Cup edition by Belgium, France will get back in the saddle in February for the qualifiers.

The 2025 Davis Cup edition is not yet over that the draw for the 2026 qualifiers has already taken place. To reach the Finals in November, France will have to go through two qualification rounds.

The first will be played against Slovakia, at home. If they win, the French will face Brazil or Canada.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.
