France, qualified for the "Final 8" for the first time since the competition's format changed in 2019, will challenge Belgium in the quarter-finals on Tuesday (starting at 4 p.m.).
The French team, led by captain Paul-Henri Mathieu, had to eliminate Brazil in February, then Croatia in September to reach this stage of the competition.
