Exactly one year ago, Juan Martin Del Potro bid a final farewell to professional tennis during an exhibition match against Novak Djokovic.

The Argentine, after a match played in good spirits and with the participation of former players such as Gabriela Sabatini and Gisela Dulko, won the match with a score of 6-4, 7-5.

"The emotion overwhelms me again"

An event that remains deeply etched in the memory of 'Del Po', who shared an emotional message this Monday on his social networks:

"One year ago, a day I will never forget... Thank you to each one of you for being there for me in such a special moment. Your support carried me through every step, and it continues to accompany me even today.

I watch that video again and the emotion overwhelms me once more. Thank you for all your love, in the stands, at home, in each of your messages. And thank you to Novak for being present and for being part of this adventure. I appreciate you immensely."

Despite top-10 ATP rankings and consistent excellence, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Gaël Monfils, Richard Gasquet, and Gilles Simon never claimed a Grand Slam title, enduring mockery from French media amid Big 3 dominance. A deep dive into a talented generation defined by sky-high expectations and brutal competition.

As much as I love watching Alcaraz at his best, I'd love to see Alex taking this, he's such a tryer, and getting married and his humour and humility...

Favoritism?

Last year: Sinner seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 2.

This year: Alcaraz seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 3.

That means: 7 matches in 15 days for Alcaraz, 7 in 13 days for Sinner; and no rest day for Sinner between quarter and semis, 1 full day rest for Alcaraz.

Also, on the first very hot day, the organizers schedule Sinner...
