Djokovic amazed: "The level between Sinner and Alcaraz in Turin was fantastic"
Novak Djokovic is not the type to be impressed by the level of others. He has repeated it dozens of times. Yet, last Sunday, he could not help but watch the ATP Finals final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, their 16th duel, a true modern classic of tennis.
"I saw the first set. There was incredible tension and a fantastic level. Usually, I don't like watching other players' matches, but I watch the matches of both with interest. Their rivalry is very positive for our sport."
But the Serb did not only praise the show. He wanted to emphasize the historical dimension of what Sinner achieved (31 consecutive indoor wins):
"What Jannik is accomplishing indoors is historic."
