Djokovic on his relationship with Nadal: "Over the past 15 years, I've seen him more often than my mother"

For twenty years, the Big 3 has clearly dominated world tennis, thanks to the exceptional performances of three players: Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal. The Serbian and the Spaniard have faced each other 60 times on the main tour (31-29 for Djokovic).
However, the two men can never be friends outside of tennis. It was the Belgrade native, currently ranked 5th in the world at 38 years old and a recent semifinalist at the Shanghai Masters 1000, who confirmed this in an interview with Corriere Della Sera.
"Nadal is only one year older than me, we are both Geminis. At the beginning, we even went out to dinner together, twice. But even with him, friendship is impossible. I have always respected and deeply admired him.
Thanks to him and Federer, I grew and became who I am. That will unite us forever. That's why I am very grateful to them. Nadal is part of my life. Over the past 15 years, I've seen him more often than my mother," Djokovic stated.
