Djokovic on the photo of his medical examination after the Australian Open: "If some legends of our sport hadn't made comments, I wouldn't have reacted"
At the end of January, just after his Australian Open semi-final exit against Alexander Zverev, Novak Djokovic published a photo of his medical examination showing his torn thigh.
This publication was mainly aimed at John McEnroe, who had doubted the veracity of the Serb's injury:
"If certain legends of our sport hadn't made comments, I wouldn't have reacted. When certain things stay on social networks, no worries.
But when it gets to the point of questioning my integrity and the credibility of what I say, when legends of the sport say it in front of millions of people, I feel the need to react."
