"Don't make me look ridiculous in front of everyone": Nadal jokes about a possible return against Federer
Upon receiving the prestigious AS Leyenda award, the Spaniard spoke about his intact friendship with Federer, and their possible joint return in front of the public.
Nadal answered the question that haunts fans: can we see Rafa and Roger on a court again, even for a simple exhibition match?
"It's entirely possible. You never know. Roger and I have an excellent relationship. I think something will materialize one day."
"Don't make me look ridiculous in front of everyone"
When asked about a hypothetical winner if the meeting took place the very next day, Nadal did not hesitate to joke:
"Honestly, him. He's been training longer than I have. But if we're going to do something, let him warn me in advance. Let him not make me look ridiculous on the court (laughs).
In a year, I've only played a few times, and no more than 45 minutes. So to come back and not be catastrophic, I would need time."
A statement that thus rekindles hope for a new "Fedal."
