Eastbourne WTA 250 Draw: Kasatkina Seeks Second Crown, Krejcikova Searches for Form, Ostapenko, Jabeur, and Raducanu Also Present

Wimbledon is fast approaching and several players on the tour have decided to finalize their grass-court preparation in Eastbourne.

Although historically a WTA 500, the tournament has been downgraded this year to a WTA 250. This hasn't stopped several well-known players on the women's circuit from attending, starting with the top seed and defending champion Daria Kasatkina.

After two first-round eliminations at Queen's and Berlin, the Australian will attempt to secure her first grass-court victory of the year against Lulu Sun. She might face Emma Raducanu in the quarterfinals. The British No. 1 will start in front of her home crowd against Ann Li.

The second seed of the event, Barbora Krejcikova, will try to reassure herself against Harriet Dart. The Czech, who will defend her title at Wimbledon, might meet Rebecca Sramkova in the quarterfinals. Sramkova defeated her in the first round at Queen's last week.

Among other players in the draw, Jelena Ostapenko will face a tough challenge against Sonay Kartal, while Ons Jabeur, a quarterfinalist in Berlin, will open against Maya Joint. Sofia Kenin will play a qualifier, and Peyton Stearns, who is returning to competition after a month's absence, will face Mingge Xu.
