"Every time I play against Monfils, people wonder whether this is the moment he will beat me or not," Djokovic discusses the uniqueness of being undefeated against an opponent

A solid winner against Fritz (6-3, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4) in the US Open quarterfinals, Djokovic added an eleventh victory to his record against the American, with zero losses. A dominance he also holds over Raonic and Seppi (12-0) as well as the Frenchman Monfils (20-0).
While the undefeated status may seem like an advantage before the match, it can also create a certain amount of pressure, according to the 38-year-old player:
"We enjoy facing guys we've never lost to. But at the same time, we always look forward to these matches. Especially with Monfils—every time I play him, people wonder whether this is the moment he will beat me or not, and there's always that extra pressure you feel on the court. You don't want to let him win even a single match."
At Flushing Meadows, Djokovic will now face the world number 2, Alcaraz.
