A spitting bully never deserves a spot.

Koepfer must be in disbelief. He had such a close match and now Federer withdrew

What a cheat

The loser should be fined for taking the spot of someone who really deserve it

Good decision. ...the guy know his body....I would rather prefer to see him on grass fit and running. ..Dominic lost he doesn't deserve to go through. ..spitting is always revolting in a covid situation even more.....Come on Roger the grass is green ready for you...see you soon

@Justin...is that Andy Murray? BTW..You have problem when roger is playing...but you have it too when he isn't playing

Wise move for Fed to withdraw. His chance of winning here is slime to none. And more likely to get injured and slimmer chance to contend at Wimbledon.
Just realky sux for the dude that loss yesterday though.
And obviously good for Matteo.

So sad to hear this from you but your health is first priority...see you soon roger

A disappointment for fans and more so for Koepfer, a pullout for resting is never great. Seems Roger knew before entering FO that he would pullout after a few matches of what he has called "matches under my belt". Unfortunate that a GS is used as a practice tournament. Anyways hope no one else follows the footsteps of Roger in this regard

Would be interesting to see Roger's decision if he has two five setters in early rounds in Wimbledon though

He's not playing wimbledon either so don't get your hopes up

Ya Justin one of ur 100 predictions came true... Just go n get laid... Don't spread hate here

Vladimir Ignjatovic
This is so unfair against firstly Novak, and then all other players to whom Berettini could be potential rival, because he will have one bye day more than other and he'll play against (probably Novak) more fresh!

Pizda!

It should not be that if it's French open someone pulls out, but for Wimbledon, someone would continue under the same circumstances. Grand slams should not be used as a pre planned practice tournament, atleast by those who are looked at as icons, that's my two cents on the subject

Risk to reward wasn't attractive enough for Roger. It wasn't otherwise right from the start of RG. That it dawned now is brutally unfair to some players as well as fans. Having said it, I always like to see Roger in his best shape for Wimbledon.

His career is finished already!

We don't know khan... Novak is the only competition for him on grass... Others don't stand a chance... So who knows he might win Wimbledon this year

@jeet It's not my comments, I had quoted RF when he said in his statement that he got 3 matches under his belt and he should not be pushing his knees after surgery. So if his comments are laughable, so be it. Nadal doesn't pull out of YE championship when he is fit, he might not have won it, but he tries to atleast. Going by your logic, most would have pulled out of FO, for so many years (basically Fed himself has acknowledged that it is near impossible to beat a fit Nadal in FO). Also lots of players have never won GS For years together, that doesn't mean they should not play. Maybe I am not good enough to understand your logic

Sekar just remove the thing that he withdrew French to ve rest for Wimbledon coz roger never mentioned it... U just feel that and u r saying it everytime... Roger always said he can't put pressure on those knees and risk one more injury... He put that pressure in Australian open 2019 and lost 18 months of tour.. Do u think its advisable to do the same mistake once again..??

Federer fan
Sekar Rafa did in the same thing in Indian wells and couple of years back and u supported him and now u are against fed

I thought he was supposed to play tomorrow not today SMDH.
realJeffWest
Bertettini more time to rest
csekarhere
I more liked his decision to play even with injury the AO semifinals past year, than this one by RF
Federer fan
Maybe he did that mistake once n didn't want to do it again... Coz one more injury and his career is finished... And he never said the withdrawal is for rest... He is saying he can't put more pressure on his knees which was operated
Justin Loch
This prediction will come true as well
jeet123
Csekar Federer doesn't needs to please any fanbase by risking his body.

Today he withdrew before QF upsetting a small section of novak fanbase. If he withdrew after somehow winning another epic battle with matteo in QF then Nadal fans will be unhappy that djoker got a free pass ahead of their Semi clash.

Trust me Federer is playing for himself not to impress any fan base. Same for other 2 GOATs
Khan Alihasan
Cheap from the 'so' called great man😯
jeet123
Alihasan But i never felt anything like that when Nadal entered Paris masters only to confirm his no 1 spot and withdrew after 1 match. I can't count how many times he did that. But i respect him for his personal decision when to play or not...unlike some toxic bullies.
