Fritz more motivated than ever: "I'm going to go out there, play really well and win".

Le 08/09/2024 à 00h38 par Elio Valotto
Fritz more motivated than ever: I'm going to go out there, play really well and win.

Taylor Fritz is ready for battle. With his physical victory over Tiafoe in the semi-finals (4-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1), the American No.1 has already written a small page in the history of North American tennis.

The first local player to reach the final in 18 years, he will now attempt to become the first to win since Andy Roddick's title in 2003.

Although a major outsider in the final, Fritz was confident in his press conference and warned Sinner: "I know that facing the world number 1 is never easy, but I always feel good when we play each other.

It's as if his pace favors me. I usually play well against him.

Every time we've played each other, I've enjoyed our matches (1-1 in past encounters).

I've got the feeling that on Sunday, I'm going to go out there, play really well and win.

When I play my best tennis, I consider myself good enough to be a Grand Slam champion."

Good for him however I would go 3/1 for the Italian stallion

Tiafoe match was hard and long enough,I doubt he'll have the stamina against Sinner.
