Fritz praises De Minaur: "One of the highest levels of tennis I've ever seen".
This Sunday, hostilities begin in Turin with the first group matches of this year-end Masters 2024 edition.
Present at the press conference, Taylor Fritz had the opportunity to reflect on his draw, which placed him in the same group as Daniil Medvedev, Jannik Sinner and Alex De Minaur.
While many see the Australian as clearly inferior to the other three, Fritz doesn't seem to think so at all, and even revealed that he is particularly wary of the indefatigable De Minaur.
Recalling their duel at the start of the season, he said: "I played against 'Demon' (Alex De Minaur) in the second match of the year and, personally, I thought it was one of the highest levels of tennis I'd ever seen on the other side of the court.It was crazy."
As a reminder, the two men had faced each other at the United Cup for a clear-cut victory by De Minaur (6-4, 6-2).
