Fulfilled, Garcia is ready for Wimbledon: "It's time to pack again!"
Caroline Garcia is having a difficult 2024 season. With the exception of the Miami tournament, where she reached the quarter-finals, it's rare to see the Frenchwoman go very far in a tournament. Her tournament in Paris was a case in point: despite being the French number 1, she fell in the second round.
Despite this, the 30-year-old Frenchwoman says she's still smiling, not least thanks to an idyllic personal life:
"Every cloud has a silver lining. Leaving Roland-Garros so early and having to take some time away from tennis to help my shoulder recover was pretty disappointing.
But still, thanks to things not going exactly as I wanted on the tennis side, over the last two weeks I've been able to: get engaged, attend an unforgettable wedding, stay fit and train for a few days in paradise, with wonderful hikes and picnics on a breathtaking lake, enjoy quality time with my family and much more.
It's a reminder that even when things don't go exactly as you planned or wished, you can still be happy, enjoy life and find opportunities to discover and learn new things.
It's time to pack again! I'm ready for Wimbledon."
