Garcia to part ways with coach
Caroline Garcia is in one of the worst periods of her career.
After a string of defeats and a recent confession that she was on the verge of depression, the Frenchwoman has finally decided to part company with her coach, Bertrand Perret.
Garcia announced this in a beautiful tribute posted on social networks: "After three unique years, Bertrand and I have decided to end our collaboration.
Bertrand, you have been an incredible coach, with whom I have achieved so much, and for that I am eternally grateful.
But more importantly, you have been a true friend, someone who has been by my side through some of my best days as a professional, but also through some of my worst, not only as a player, but as a human being.
And you've always supported me unconditionally. You've helped me produce some of my best games, while showing me that if you can't enjoy the process, it's not worth it.
I wish you all the best for the rest of your career. Anyone who gets the chance to work with you will be incredibly lucky.
For my part, I'm happy to say that I've not only found an excellent coach, but also one of my best friends."
